Interests

Into languages and translation, especially Arabic, contemporary dance, most anything involving being outdoors or the natural world, making art and music, getting to know new places and new people. Also into the studies, interesting lectures, good books, dance parties of most every variety where people who love dancing come, and live music, music in general - folk, folksy acoustic, funky, hip hop, electronica (but not house so much). Travel of course is a big interest for me, I like as much as possible to hang out and get to know a place. The big tourist attractions are usually cool, I usually want to check them out some, but it's the little everyday things that make traveling really interesting. I usually live my life with a to-do list nine miles long, I love it when I get the chance to just do whatever I feel like it with no set schedule to keep to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Alhambra in Granada is one of the most amazing places in the world, I went there with a good friend and we ended up just wandering around the city. We asked the super nice bartender where to go to see good flamenco and she suggested a place, where we ended up seeing some really good Cuban jazz and afterwards we ran into a group of folks playing a flamenco version of one of my favorite songs (Aicha, Cheb Khaled, check it out if you don't know it, it's great).
