ABOUT ME

I'm from Calgary originally but have just moved back here in 2015, after travelling and living abroad for several years.
I'm looking to settle a bit for now, make some connections here but I always want to stay in touch with the travel community. My next trips will focus on exploring Canada all over again, it's been too long!
I love languages, I speak English, French and a bit of Japanese, Spanish and German and would love to practice with you. I absolutely love exploring new places and cultures. I believe in talking WITH people not at them.

PHILOSOPHY

An open mind and no expectations (but lots of hopes and wishes!) are the key to enjoying life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a few times, been to a few events. I would love to host one day, unfortunately so far I haven't found a living situation where I can do that. It's only a matter of time!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very little, since I'm quite disorganised, but my few experiences have been great!! I love how welcoming and trusting people are, and strangers become friends so easily!

got lost on mountains, watched men fighting burning bamboo in a local festival, communicated through only gestures and noises when I couldn't speak the language, jumped off cliffs, climbed down waterfalls, pet a few tigers, a koala, a wombat, rode a motorbike through the mountains, camped deserted beaches...
how can I list them all! Travel is always amazing :)
