To travel throughout SE Asia, India, and where ever else the road takes me!

ABOUT ME

I have finally escaped the 9-5 corporate rut to travel Asia and India and wherever else the road takes me. I am going to explore, work, meet people, experience new and interesting places and cultures and just generally have some chill out time and some fun. Maybe i'll even figure out what I want to do with my life! ;o) First stop: Asia.

I am a relaxed, happy, and positive person, im open minded, respectful and love to have a good laugh, and a few beers or 5!

I've been working in Human Resources for the last 7 years, and also working as a part-time photographer's assistant and artist in my spare time.

I'm really looking forward to traveling and re-connecting with my self after a very full-on few years of working hard!

I spend most of my time at home in NZ just hanging out with friends, going to gigs/concerts, camping along the beautiful New Zealand coast, and just generally relaxing, reading and watching movies etc.

Don't take yourself or life too seriously! Treat others as you would have them treat you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this point I would like to surf couches whilst traveling, and then definitely host when I return to NZ (or which ever country I settle in)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Relatively new to couch surfing, but have had great experiences so far hosting and with friends/family who have hosted surfers in the past. Looking forward to meeting awesome people all along the journey.

Interests

Music and going to gigs, camping, the outdoors, snowboarding, yoga, art/painting, photography, drinking, exploring/traveling, moto-x riding, meeting new people, movies, festivals, friends, family, reading, etc. The list goes on!

Music: Dub, drum'n'bass, rock, indie, NZ, experimental, chilled - a bit of everything (except country western, opera and most R&B!)

Books: Shantaram, The Kite Runner, The Bronze Horseman, most travel books

Movies: Forest gump, pans labyrinth, the notebook, Zeitgeist, Fear and loathing in las vegas, doco's, festival/indie films
