Hi my name is Kate, I'm 27 and I live in the hipster centre of inner-north Melbourne, Australia.

I've been riding bikes my whole life but really started to get into bikes in the last few years after I met the women of Melburn Hurt, a womens track cycling community in Melbourne. They helped me get started in track racing and from there I made a lot of new friends in the cycling community and became hugely involved in the local cycling scene.

I eat pretty much whatever, but don't cook anything too exciting these days... I don't smoke and I don't have any allergies. I love dogs. Cats are ok too.

I completed my first bike tour six months ago. My best friend and I cycled from Launceston to Hobart, Tasmania, in four days.

I'm now planning a cycle tour trip to Iceland and Japan in July/August this year. I've been wanting to go cycle touring for a long time so I'm really excited about my next trip.

My hope is to see beautiful unique scenery, meet interesting people and submerge myself in the local culture.

I love bikes, specifically road riding, fixed gear and cyclocross. I also love pizza, beer, glitter and the colour pink.

I've been working in the cycling industry for at least six months now and have learned an extrodanary amount in that time. If you need any advice on bikes and bit and pieces I'm happy to help where I can. My day to day role involves sales and store management but I'm handy on the tools.
