ABOUT ME

I'm a multlingual dabbling kind of gal who still hasn't really worked out exactly what she wants to do in her life... (does anyone?!)

I'm really passionate about learning new things and challenging my own preconceptions, and I love meeting new people! I love having discussions about anything - as long as the other person is passionate about the subject, then I know I will find out something new and interesting.

Speaking other languages apart from English is also very important to me, so I'm always looking for new conversation partners who will be patient with my mistakes ;)

PHILOSOPHY

If a new opportunity scares you, that's probably a good thing...

I think it's really important to confront the small and large fears inside yourself. I was once a little afraid of going to a martial arts class (strange I know!) so I made sure I went along to a Wing Chun Kung Fu class, and surprise surprise I had a great time!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been recommended couchsurfing so many times, but unfortunately recently I haven't had a couch to offer to people. But because I've been putting it off for too long, I'm now trying to get involved in the community in the ways that I can - so if you are in my area, let me know and we can meet up for a coffee and I'll show you around!

I'm looking forward to the day that I'm back in a flat where I have the space to host people. It will be great to give back more.

Música, películas y libros

I used to be a member of my University's film society and I also volunteered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. I love films, and find it very difficult to pick out favourites! Anything by Almodovar, Aronofsky and Peter Jackson ;) Hmm, I'm filling this in a bit inanely at the moment... I'll come back soon once I've had a proper think. I'm not so good at doing lists!

My current favourite book (series) is George RR Martin's a song of ice and fire... it's great for a good old discussion of all the different twisty plots and characters!

Algo increíble que he hecho

I have a huge fear of heights and for some reason thought I might be able to cure it by bungee jumping. I did that in New Zealand in Queenstown. It was incredible. But I'm still very afraid of heights!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I'm actually a qualified English as a foreign language teacher, and I could probably teach a bit of the basics of some other languages. I'm very good at getting people addicted to books and films... ;)

I am really interested in computers and would love to learn more about web design. I also love to practice my languages at any opportunity. Language exchanges are great.
