Getting used to being back in the UK

ABOUT ME

Where to begin? Just got back from an epic around the world - without flying -low carbon adventure of much fun and tomfoolery. Now living and working in London, for a low carbon travel company, and generally bemoaning being in London where no-one looks at each other!

I am used to having lots of lovely friends, and now I've moved to London I have about three. They're a nice bunch, but three friends does not a social life make. I would like to meet lots of nice people (I know you're out there) for coffee and/or beer.

Ah the boring bit, about me: I'm a 25 year old, ridiculous joke telling, vegetarian, who likes cooking and running and drinking too much and generally causing trouble, especially in fancy dress.

A nice cup of tea, clubbing, festivals, frosty cold beers, good books, music, sunshine, laughing, my local pub, dancing, running, history, exploring, travel (not by fuel guzzling planes, more efficient trains and boats all the way), fruit, swimming, being outside, and most importantly... people!

Love books, nothing trashy, a curse on Danielle Steel and everything she ever writes. Kudos to Huruki Murikami, Louis De Berniere, Amitav Ghosh and others.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Slept in an igloo, driven a dog sleigh, sailed across the Pacific, took a cargo ship across the Atlantic, ridden the Transsiberian express. Ate a scorpion once, and a bag of locusts (I'm not always a vegetarian ;)

I learnt Spanish for a 6 months but I am a long way from fluent and I'm afraid I'm a little rusty now . If you want to learn how to make idle chit chat with taxi drivers in Spanish I'm your girl! Or if you'd like to hear how you go about catching a cargo ship across the Atlantic, or sailing the Pacific I will also be happy to oblige.
