Hey!

Thanks for checking out our profile. We left the UK back in September '13, with the aim of doing and seeing as much as we possibly can.

So far our travels have taken us through Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand (a number of times), Burma, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines & Australia. We have just embarked on our next big adventure in South America.

At the moment we're looking for hosts rather than hosting ourselves, and are hoping to couchsurf throughout SA if possible! We get along with the vast majority of people, and can rustle up a decent meal or good conversation for those who are generous enough to put us up for a night.

Back in the UK, Kate was a high school English Teacher & Tom worked in commercial property sales, however since starting our travels our occupations have included waiter/waitress, painter, gardener, sheep-shearer... the list goes on and definitely includes things we never expected!

Our interests include, but certainly aren't limited to: travel, music, art, books, sustainable living, scuba & generally just having a great time.
Now in our later twenties we're more sedate than we were, but still appreciate a good night out when one is on offer, although we're probably more likely to spend a night in with friends over wine than head out regularly.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most things indie/rock/pysch/folk/dance, plus 80's, 90's, & 00's mega-mix, power ballads (especially when appropriately inebriated), Disney (Kate), & anything that can be sung at full gusto at a karaoke (to the pain of those listening).
We both love a good book, love talking about books, and would consider ourselves reasonably well read. Gulliver's travels is Kate's favourite book and probably what sparked her desire to travel.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love to learn/practice our Spanish, and help anyone who is interested in bettering their English.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Two new friends, good conversation, great drinking buddies, a pretty mean roast dinner, bad jokes, worse karaoke.
