Canadian master's student studying abroad. When I'm not researching my thesis I like to experience as much of Europe as I can! I love to ski, hike and bike, being in the outdoors is a huge part of my life and I love to share it with others. When I'm not studying, traveling, or on an adventure, I like to settle in with a glass of red wine, a nice meal and some great conversation!
Netflix bingeing and reading until the middle of the night are also common occurrences.

To get the local experience!
I have lived in Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal (Canada), Le Locle (Switzerland), Dublin (Ireland) and Groningen (The Netherlands).
Traveling is amazing, but there's nothing like the local experience and making new friends around the world. I hope to one day host others wherever I settle!

Interests

My mum put me on skis the second I could walk... maybe even before. Mountain sports have been a part of me for as long I can remember. I grew up dancing ballet, jazz, modern, hiphop, tap... so DANCE BATTLE?
Like most people on CS, I love to travel! Not only travel, but to fully infuse myself into the various parts of the outdoors in each of these countries- I love savoring those moments and my travels with photography as most people do as well :)
I'm an engineer by training, and currently pursuing a master's double degree in Biomedical Engineering. I love science, math and the human body. I have this need within me to help others by applying chemistry, biology, materials and design to improve medical intervention. Ask me about what I've researched and you'll get an earful- so be careful :)

MUSIC: Black Keys, City and Colour, Monsters and Men, Kendrick Lamar, Metric, Mumford and Sons... I could go on. But a mix of rock, indie rock, folk, alternative, hip-hop, rap, and some country.. but country is only in the summer time :)

MOVIES: When Harry Met Sally, any and all of the Harry Potters, Shawshank Redemption, Silence of the Lambs, Mulan, The Greatest Showman

BOOKS: Harry Potter(s), Shantaram, Elsewhere, The Year of Secret Assignments, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle-Stop Cafe, The Kit Runner... and whatever is next to my bed right now.
