ABOUT ME
I was born in the lovely land of Australia & have left the giant island for 6 months to explore UK & Europe. I think hospitality is a beautiful niche of life & feel very grateful towards those that accommodate for me. I'm not fussy at all about where I sleep, the floor is fine with me! I really hope to return the hospitality favour when I'm back in Melbourne. I love meeting new people & learning about new places.
PHILOSOPHY
This section could become quite elaborate very quickly; I'll try to keep things simple. From the many wonderings, queries and ideas I have had about life, it has become clear to me that my personal philosophies will forever be changing. After all, we are human and such is the nature of the neurones in our brain. There are some things, however, that seemingly remain constant for me in amongst the diverse flow of my philosophies on life.
Whether you want to call "it" God or not, we are all connected in this creation. We are individuals connected by something far greater than perhaps anything we can comprehend. What we can do is live this gift of life in the most honest and pleasing way, through the choices we make. I believe we should ground ourselves in what we love, pass that forward to the people around us and never hide from the truth or be afraid to try. If you never make any mistakes, you never make anything. Our life is a gift; one that I want to embrace whole heartedly with the people in my life. I don't want to shy away from unique opportunities that life gives me. I want to learn, explore, create and embrace, while treading on this earth lightly and deliberately. Loving my neighbour as myself and giving forward to those around me.
Interests
Life really interests me. I like to explore new places, try new things, think new thoughts, meet new people.. I'm particularly interested in creation - this being a source of response through art, seeing what others create and of course the natural creation on this wonderfully bizarre planet. I love nature, am really interested in animals, the diversity of species, evolution, dinosaurs and all those wonders of the past. I paint and draw a lot - I'm studying Fine Art and really love it. Really, really. I'm also really interested in language learning - I've been learning German for quite some time & am very new to Spanish. I love a long walk, a nice view and a good coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have quite a diverse taste in movies, music and books. I really can't pick a favourite genre, it just depends so much on so many things!
Recently I have read 'On The Trail of Genghis Khan' by Tim Cope. I found this really fascinating and insightful as I am really interested in horse trekking through Mongolia on my future travels. He has a very unique and inspiring experience, travelling all the way through Mongolia, through the Ukraine up to Russia.
I also really liked 'Life of Pi', the book MUCH more than the movie. It was beautifully written and gave a fascinating perspective on the internal struggles of the protagonist, Pi, through a rather whimsical and creative journey.
I would have to say Lord of the Rings is up there in my favourite movies. It's epic. Middle Earth is beautiful, it's a true adventure that you fall into and I love the epic plot.
Well I like a really big variety of music.. Some favourites include Sigur Ros, Bright Eyes, Beirut, John Butler Trio, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, The National, Ben Howard, Dr Dog, Sufjan Stevens, Blizten Trapper, The Cure & can't look past the Beatles.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some favourites:
Hiking through the himalayas in Nepal for 11 days.
Sleeping in the desert of Central Australia.
Camping in the Scottish Highlands.
10 days on the road in Iceland.
