Hi all,
My name is Katelyn, and I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am temporarily living in Madrid, Spain.
I teach English as a Foreign Language here, and in Las Vegas I was a bartender. I enjoy meeting new people, and experiencing new things.
I am looking to do some traveling while I am here in Europe, and then I'm hoping to open up my doors when I'm back in the States, and have people come visit me too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because a friend of mine did it and met some amazing people. I enjoyed meeting people from around the globe, and since moving to Spain, I've also met some pretty incredible people. I learn new things from every new person I encounter, and want to continue doing so.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of books from fantasies to biographies. My favorite movies are comedies, and some science fiction. I enjoy anything dealing with space and astronomy!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don’t know if it’s really amazing, but one thing that I still can’t believe I did happened a few months ago. I moved to Madrid to teach. I had never left the United States before, and it was terrifying and thrilling to just up and move. I started a brand new life from scratch, and I have no regrets!

I want to learn as much as I can while I can. I love pushing my boundries, and reaching outside of my comfort zones.
I recognize that everyone has their own stories, and it fascinates me. I want to meet as many people as I can from as many places as I can.
