Hi there! My name is Katelyn and I am a recent graduate from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario. During my studies I majored in Radio and Television Arts with a concentration in filmmaking, and I also took a minor in English. I have been a professional actress since I was 14 years old, and my hope now that I have completed my post-secondary education is to focus on my acting career.

I am a fun-loving, spontaneous and optimistic person, and I look for the adventures in life that I know will someday become memories of a lifetime! The first trip I ever took was to France when I was 15 years old, and I decided to embark on my own, never having been out of the country before, to stay with a host family in the Southern part of France. France taught me both the French language, as well as its way of life. I have been searching for the same type of adventure ever since in all of the trips that I have taken, and I have a yearning to see the world while I am young!

I am an educated young woman, who loves to laugh and meet new people, and who is hoping to create some memories for a lifetime!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This summer I am visiting Los Angeles for the first time to attend an acting camp where I will be filming footage for my demo reel, attending workshops, and doing a photoshoot for my new headshots. After this, I will be staying in the LA area to do some traveling and I am looking for a place to stay during my second week's visit!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As an actress I have had the opportunity of working with several actors and actresses on set who are well-known in the industry, such as Emily Osment in our film Cyberbully (2011), Brie Larson, Jacob Tremblay and Megan Park in our film Room (2015), and the ladies from our upcoming Freeform show The Bold Type (2017). Being on set is still the most amazing opportunity to me, to be honest!
