About Me
I'm an Australian who accidentally ended up in Belfast, liked the vibes, and decided life was pushing me here for a reason. I think a lot about what I want to experience and why, and I'm probably better at 2am conversations with near-strangers than I am at small talk.
My space is really sacred to me and I've worked hard to make it feel like home, so offering it to people is genuinely something I care about. I'm a relaxed host. I'll cook for you, explore with you, point you toward everything worth knowing, and just let things unfold however they do. I have my own rhythm, early mornings and my own quiet time, but I hold that lightly.
I'm most drawn to people with unconventional paths and honest curiosity. I ask a lot of questions and I find it much easier to go deep than to stay on the surface.
I’ve only been in Belfast a few months, I’m settling in and am hoping to be able to offer a space for travels very soon
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the ethos of Couchsurfing, the generosity, the shared meals, the trust that people can still open their doors to one another in this day and age. It reminds me that we can feel safe with strangers, that connection matters more than transactions.
Despite having a bank account, I don’t want to buy my way into being alone, I want to build connections, hear stories, and be reminded that there’s another side to the world. Couchsurfing sparks that hunger to chase my dreams and move through the world in a more positive way. It lets me meet people who bring joy, inspire change, and remind me that not everything has to be about capitalism.
Interests
I'm fundamentally an active, energetic person, but I also really value my quiet moments. I love the peace I find in nature; being out in the world, surrounded by trees, an open sky, or the ocean makes me happiest. The ocean is something that is deeply important to me.
I'm passionate about motorbikes, 4WDing, hiking, bushwalking, cycling, and pretty much anything that gets me moving. I appreciate stillness too, and the simpler things in life like a wonderful meal, a glass of wine on the balcony in spring, a beautiful sunset, quality time with the best of friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I created the first strontium isoscape of Eastern Australia using kangaroo teeth as part of a geochemical research project
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach:
A bit about trauma-informed education and working with young people
How to get started with strength training or fitness
Motorbike tips
How to have a great time cooking in the kitchen
I’d love to learn:
Where the best hiking, trekking, bushwalking, riding, adventure places are
Best little hidden spots
New outdoor skills (surfing, climbing, you name it)
I can share:
Good food and hilarious stories from my teaching career
Stories from my travels around Australia.
My positive energy and enthusiasm for most things
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’ll share whatever I can, my food, knowledge, time, energy, and space. I really value people’s privacy and their need for peace and solitude, and I try to meet people where they’re at. I’ll always bring integrity, respect, and care for how people feel and what they want from the experience.
I’ve always tried to make my space feel like a home for others, somewhere they can truly relax and feel safe. That’s what I’d like to offer as a guest too: to bring that sense of comfort and ease wherever I go.
I’m always up for lending a hand, I’ve helped people with house moves, renovations, cleaning, whatever’s needed. Even the washing or tidying is more fun when you’re not doing it alone. I’m happy to help out, share supplies, cook a meal, swap stories, or just bring good energy and company if that’s what’s welcome.
