ABOUT ME

I was born and bred in Russia and live there still (disregard my German name, it comes from a grandfather whom I've never met). I've travelled all over Europe and now begin to explore Asia, too. I have a not-too-hard job in an interior design magazine which allows me to travel frequently - and for free! I've always been an avid visitor of museums and monuments but recently I came to think that travelling is about getting to know people, not just statues and buildings. The most interesting part of the trip for me is going to places where the locals go and doing things that the locals do. In other words it's fun to stop being a tourist every once in a while.
