ABOUT ME

Hi, i'm Kate. I'm a 30 year old female from London, UK but living in New Zealand.

I used to work in the TV industry in London before taking a career break / having a mini mid life crisis, and moved to Canada to work in hospitality. Its now been five years and i'm still on that career break, but have moved even further from home to New Zealand. Still bartending in between travelling.

I surfed my first couch a few years back in California when money ran out and I couldn't afford hostels anymore. There was a couple of places left I still wanted to see, and I'd heard about CS so gave it a go. I have to admit, thats when the trip started to get real interesting. It was an incredible feeling, like I was instantly being accepted into a community of friends and experiencing a town like a local rather than a tourist. I was very lucky with my hosts and it's given me a bit of an itch to get out there and meet even more amazing people while exploring the towns they love.
