Happy, easy-going, like to think I'm open-minded and easy to chat to :)
Someone special used to say 'the beauty of a smile will save the world' - I think I agree
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I'm settled somewhere I love to have people to stay, share stories, and show them around... when I'm travelling to a city I love to find people to stay with and see the place through their eyes..
My second couchsurfing experience - stayed with a lovely Austrian guy in Linz. Supposed to be for one night but we stayed three days, he took us to a festival in the mountains and stayed on a ranch riding horses bareback :). After that I was sold...It's just great to share, stories or your own area, skills, music - all of it! One of my great friends is in his 60s, and we met through CS 5 years ago when I stayed with his family in Delhi. It's meeting people you definitely wouldn't staying in a hostel :)
Meeting people, all people... road trips, festival-time, DANCING, singing... writing, playing guitar, teaching, long cycle rides alone :), walking in remote places - and the list always grows :)
- road trips
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - as an example, big fish. something that tells a good story, doesn't take itself too seriously, and leaves you thinking about things a little bit differently
Music - Makes the world go round :) Only very few types of music I don't like
Books - at the moment, finding buddhist books v interesting and insightful!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
had the privilege of staying in a sri lankan forest monastery, learning how much can be gained from being still
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you basic guitar and piano... how to cook Sri Lankan curries...how to travel on a very small budget... meditation and yoga... how to make the best of a bad situation.
I'd like to learn... everything :) How to sail, how to get better on the guitar, to name a couple
