About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to live and love my life by working hard, travelling and trying new things.
ABOUT ME
I am a happy and easy going person. I love life and travel and people and I'm passionate about making the world a better place. I'm a country girl at heart but the great love affair of my life is London. I love getting up to all kinds of mischief all over this city!
I am a sociable person. I like pubs, gigs, parties and great food. I equally love lying around all day having a laugh with friends. I like activity - particularly hiking and cycling.
My favourite place in the world is my parent's farm, followed closely by the surf beach in my home town. I love love dancing under the stars, lying in the park, festivals, and outdoor activity in general. I am very very excited about the end of winter.
I work as a child protection social worker. I really love working with families and children but I really hate working in a system that's rooted in so many fundamental ways.
I ride a bicycle pretty much everywhere and I am fairly sure I'm going to be killed one day by a taxi or a delivery van.
PHILOSOPHY
"If you never did you should, these things are fun, and fun is good: ~ Dr Seuss
"Life is a daring adventure, or nothing" ~ Helen Keller
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am very new to this and my friend recommended that I give it a go as I'm travelling around a fair bit while living in London. I can't put anyone up unfortunately where I am now but I intend to pay back in spades when I move back to Australia. I love meeting new people and I would be very happy to meet for a coffee, a drink, to hang out or whatever in London.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a newbie! I will update this section when I have my first great experience!
Interests
I am interested in what makes people tick, the world, art and literature, music, poverty (or the effects of it), environmental issues and political issues in general.
I am also interested in having as much fun as possible and learning learning learning!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I am currently reading Frankenstein and absolutely loving it. Other favourites include Midnight's Children, The Alchemist, Dr Seuss, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close... I read constantly and voraciously: I did a degree in English lit... what can you do?
Movies: American Beauty, Pleasantville, The Usual Suspects, American History X, Samson and Delilah, Wall E
Shows: The Wire, 6 Feet Under... I don't watch TV as a rule. I watch DVDs that people recommend. I probably average a couple of hours per week. I just finished season 2 of Breaking Bad.
Music: Everything quality and I mean everything.
Food: Again: everything - how good is food? I particularly like sharing it though. Also is beer a food? Then beer is a favourite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I have done/ seen in my lifetime is travel through Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia. It is truly spectacular place.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a little about a lot and I have an opinion on almost everything (or if I don't I can form one pretty quickly).
In Australia I am much more of an expert on my surroundings but in London I am just a learner myself. Because of this though I have a few cool places up my sleeve that I know are great to come to as a visitor and that not everyone will see...
Countries I’ve Visited
