About Me

Hey out there !

I am a mindful, reflected, flexible and open hearted person.
I practice creativity in many ways. Wether it's by cooking or by using my hands to draw, carve or dance. I am attentive, patient and interested to try myself in new things. I love music and I love to dace, especially at outdoor festivals. I spend summer by visiting festivals and friends. I'm much of an outdoors person, and it's important to me to take time to connect to nature by taking a walk in the forest, swimming in a lake or just laying in the sun.
As well I'm an arts enthusiast, wether its visiting an exhibition, theatre, street music or puppet theatre. I am also interested in politics and psychology and alternative/ community living concepts.
I study visual communication at the Hochschule Darmstadt University of applied Science. I work in Darmstadt as well in a forest kindergarten and for an art club. Therefor I currently commute between my hometown Nierstein and the city of Darmstadt. When I am at home I like to calm down with a good cup of coffee or tea, taking care of my plants.

I joined CS for my first time solo travel through Indonesia in 2019.
Couchsurfing opened up the possibility to learn to know a new culture, people and landscape in a very personal and authentic way. It gave me a diverse view on this beautiful country and made it easy to develop an individual way of traveling.
The Couchsurfers I learned to know on my journey shared with me their view on the country and on life. Those connections really enriched my time of traveling wich I want to give back to other Couchsurfers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think there are many and I am keen to explore many more! But one that pops right up in my mind is the the time I spend in a community living in New Zealand where I was taking care of the composting toilets which was part of the community tasks. I really learned to appreciate our shit! Through being resposible for the composting process by adapting moisture and adding material to influence the texture I learned to see our excrements in a complete new way. We can be part of the circulation of our planet, if we shit or die (and many other ways). How we value this process is such an important topic: Not only that a safe and hygienic toilet is still not fundamentally given to every individual on this planet but also that through seeing our excrements as resources we can take responsibility for our shit.
So let's get back to a healthy understanding of this and a mutual relationship with our planet.
