Couchsurfing is such a great platform to meet new people, and get new experiences as a traveler - you get to see things and learn things from locals that is usually missed by tourists, and thats such a magical thing. Also, I've made such good friends by staying with people, and can't wait to make more.

Went to south China (Guilin and Yangshuo) alone with two guys I'd met twice before and knew nothing about. Amazing? Probably not. Experience for life? Definitely.
