My name is Kathi, I'm from Germany (5 minutes from the Netherlands) and I'm currently living in Warren,New Jersey! I became a nanny in the states in 2014 to see new places, travel more of the world and experience a different culture!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Now, I'm here.. Without knowing a lot of people and places to go to and without a big budget. I really enjoy meeting new people and I think the only way getting to know places in a short amount of time is having someone showing you around or telling you from their lives there.

Interests

As I said, I love to travel! I can't get enough of seeing different places. I'm also a very social person. I love to meet new people and to listen to their stories. I also really enjoy going to the gym and exercise! I am a very active person and love walking around and experience places rather than taking the subway/bus/train everywhere. I also really enjoy my job with kids, but when I go back to Germany in August 2015, I want to study psychology! I also like to go out and party a lot and meet people there.

I kinda like every type of music.
My favorite movie is forrest gump!
& my favorite book is 300 hours ( its a german thriller)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing i've done (so far) was traveling. I traveled a lot in Europe(Vienna,Berlin,Amsterdam,Venice,Rome,Milano,Paris,Switzerland,Bulgaria,Belgium,Barcelona,Madrid,Luxembourg,...) and I was in Jordan, Israel and Egypt! I also traveled around here (Canada,Cayman Islands,Bahamas,Jamaica,Mexico,...). So yeah, I also still think that living so close to New York City is one of the most amazing things i've ever done, because it was always a dream of mine to come here and see this magnificent city!
