Hello! My name is Katharina, I'm 26 years old and from Austria. I'm currently volunteering in Uganda at the Gorilla Highlands initiative (from Sept 2015 - May 2016) and living out of my backpack to explore East Africa.

In December and January my friend Elisa from Germany will join my trip to Tanzania. We are exciting meeting locals there!

Before going to Uganda I lived in different places: Austria, Denmark and the Netherlands. I was working and studying there. At the moment I can't host people because I don't have a flat or room currently ;-)

I'm positive, full of energy and always in for an adventure! I like to explore new things and to expand my horizon. Furthermore I'm very easygoing and adaptable to any situation.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Because it is amazing to meet people from around the world in their daily lives. So far I did couch surfing in Asia (Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore), Africa (Uganda, Rwanda) and in many places in Europe. It was always a great experience - way better than just staying in a hostel and seeing the 10 best sights. I love to explore new places from the view of a local and combine relaxed spare time with discovering the city and its sights. When I'm able to host someone I'm also offering my couch.
