About Me
Hi, I'm Katha! Originally I'm from Kassel, in the middle of Germany. There I've grown up and visited college. But I've always loved travelling and getting to know new people from all over the world! So 3 years ago I decided to participate in an exchange-programm to live one year in Ecuador. There I lived with a hostfamily and got to know a lot of new people and culture. I returned with a passion for South America and travelling in general!... So after finishing college last year I decided to work for one year as a volunteer in an environmental project in Peru. Here I am now, living with another guy from Germany in a little nice flat.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Recently we received two travellers who were travelling through Peru with Couchsurfing. It was very nice to share our experiences and I like the idea to welcome guests but also to have the opportunity to visit people in many countries and get to know their culture! I think it can be much better than normal holidays in a hotel because you get involved with local people :)...
Interests
I really like to travel and get to know new places and people. More over I'm very interested in nature and all activities referred to protection a natural reserves. So I really enjoy to pass time with outdoor activities. More over I like sports and creative things like drawing and painting! I also like to cook o to play cards with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of music but mostly I prefer Rock, Pop and Reggea as well as some alternative (electro)mixes. Among my favorite groups are Mighty Oaks, Alt-J, Of monsters and men, Radical face, Paolo Nutini, Milky Chance, Irie Révoltés, Gregory Porter, Katzenjammer, Calle 13, Manu Chao etc.
There are a lot of good movies but in general I prefer commedians, romances and philosophical films.
It's the same with books: I like novels, mistery and philosophical stories and sometimes also fantasy stuff...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My decision to leave my daily life in Germany for some time to get to know another continent with its people and its culture and learn a lot of new things =)...
Teach, Learn, Share
We all live in a globalized world and there are a lot of bad effects we are confronted with. But it is essencial to make use of the advantages... and being connected to people from all over the world and getting to know their histories definitely is one!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some nice days, (travel) experiences, interesting chattings and discusions, cooking, maybe daytrips to nice places, living room, kitchen, fridge, bathroom and roof-deck ;)
