About Me
Hi, my name is Kathi! I'm a 19 year old German girl.
After my A levels I decided to take a year off and visit the world because there is so much to experience. I lived in Milan (Italy) to learn Italian and to be part of the Italian lifestyle which is much more relaxed than the German one. It was absolutely amazing and I enjoy thinking back to this time every single day.
When I returned to Germany I started working for a local bakery as I love cake and pastries a lot.
I would describe myself as an open-minded, funny and interested person.
I am animal-loving and it drives me mad when animals are treated badly or their natural habitat gets destroyed by people without thinking about the consequences. I had two cute bunnies when I was in primary school but I don't have a pet at the moment.
I'm vegetarian but not complicated with food (and I don't try to convince others...)
I love being outside - skiing/snowboarding in winter and hiking & picnics in summer.
I will start studying 'International Relations' in October - so lets start building international relations via couchsurfing now :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I met a group of couchsurfers in a bar in Milan and got in contact with them. Those guys were fun and they told me about the concept of couchsurfing. It sounded so great that I decided to join the community to meet new people and get to know other cultures all around the world. I absolutely love traveling and getting to know different cultures and lifestyles. Now I'm really looking forward to my first couchsurfing experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading especially stories based on historical events. In general I'm very interested in history. This might be the reason why I wanted to be an archaeologist when I was young.
I prefer reading a good book instead of watching a movie but it could also be relaxing to hang out in front of the TV for hours ;) My all-time favourite movie is Forrest Gump - such a heart-warming story and brilliant actors.
I listen to a lot of different types of music (pop, arabic/oriental music, country, disco, electronic). It depends on my mood.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on a white-water rafting tour in a rubber boat through the jungle of Bali. It was so much fun and very impressive.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be happy to get to know your country's most popular food. I could maybe take a recipe back home and everytime I prepare the meal I will memorize the people I have spent time with in an other country.
What I Can Share with Hosts
New friend and I can bring a bar of delicious German chocolate.
