ABOUT ME

I am a very open, outgoing person who loves to meet new people....and I definitely talk quite a lot :P
I love to get to know different cultures and am quite a curious person in general so I always try to find new things to explore - ranging from food over music to events or sports.

Currently I am completing my PhD in Political Science in Geneva, Switzerland but spent a lot of time in the UK where I have lived the prior 5 years.

I am a very loyal person who is very close to her family and best friends and I actually manage to keep in contact with friends I make all around the world.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I love travelling to new places and am always keen to find someone who can show me around. Couchsurfing gives an amazing opportunities to find the prefect people to show you new places and to make new friends while travelling. I also really enjoy showing other people the place I live in and making sure they have a good time when coming here :)

Interessen

I absolutly love travelling and in the past 5 years I haven't lived anywhere longer than 1.5 years! Apart from travelling my big passions are International Politics and Musical Theatre (which might seem like a weird mix to many people).

In my time between my first and my second year of my Bachelor studies (3 months) I lived in Kos (a small greek Island) where I worked as All-Around-Animator running hotel activities in the day and performing shows in the evening and I absolutly loved it!

When I am not debating IR issues or standing on stage I like to paint, cook, watch films with my friends and go out (Always need a good dance and a few shots of tequilla once in a while ;) )

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Books: I soak up everything by Stephen King and enjoy work by Nick Hornby and most crime novels. I am also a sucker for Sci-Fi short stories and have a subscription to Clarkesworld Magazine.

When it comes to Music I can basically bob around and sing along to anything apart from Baroque. I especially like dancing in my own four walls to electro swing while doing some cooking, singing along to rock or jazz songs and going out to either electronic or reggaeton music.

I do watch a lot of films and would have trouble to identify absolut favourites - but the Bucket List most certainly always has me crying and once in a while a Disney Film is a must! My little guilty pleasure is anything with Jason Statham and the Fast and the Furious Series.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I left home when I was sixteen to go to New Zealand and I stayed there for 1.5 years finishing College. It was a huge step and a little bit scary but it made me a very confident, independent person.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I'd love to be able to practice my Spanish a bit more and am always on the lookout for new cooking experiences from different cultures. In turn I would share my German and English language knowledge, my already aquired cooking and baking skills.
