ABOUT ME

Fun, happy,easy going, chatty!

I began a RTW tour in November 2010 with my boyfriend of three years Martin. We have ticked off Shanghai and pretty much the whole of Australia so far. We are currently enjoying the wonders of South-East Asia: the foods, tastes and people are all fantastic. After Asia we will be heading into New Zealand to be followed by the west coast of the USA and then the Carribean.

I'd like to think we are both pretty outgoing and seize every opportunity given. We are chatty and quite adventurous which means we are willing to try anything at least once. I have met loads of great people so far and really hope to carry on doing so.

Interests

Eating is pretty high up on the list, we both enjoy trying and embracing new foods, which usually comes hand in hand with travelling to lots of different countries. Meeting new people and learning about different cultures fascinates us both, and we would like to think we can tell interesting tales from the UK. When not being lucky enough to be travelling we both like catching movies, drinking, catching up with friends and Martin is a keen drummer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Where to begin?...

Some favourites include Love Actually (good for Christmas merryness), Kill Bill, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Chopper, any Monty Python to name just a few. Were really into the TV drama Dexter aswell as Lie to me, The Sopranoes, Scrubs, 24 and The Wire. Music wise we both like a really broad range; Incubus, Lost Prophets, MGMT, Red Hot Chilli's, Bombay Bicycle Club are to name just a few artists we like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teaching in a school in Fiji was a highlight from a previous RTW trip I went on before University. This time round, seeing jumping dolphins following our boat in Perth was amazing, so close you could almost touch them. Working on a farm in Australia for a month was one of the hardest but most interesting things we've ever done. This list is hopefully to be continued with things from out trip this time round.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would like to think between us we have stories to share from milking cows on farms whilst Woofing in Australia to exploring the depths of Asias's culture. Whatever you have to teach, we are both all ear's too. Martin is also a good drummer if anyone would like a few hinters on how to pick it up.
