Hey!

I'm Kat and I just finished my PhD in Biomedical Sciences so now I'm travelling the world to celebrate.

I've already been to Philippines, Taiwan, Cambodia, California, Belize and Guatemala. I'm having the time of my life and have learnt so much about myself and the world. Highlights so far include learning to surf in Philippines, getting my PADI in Belize and celebrating Khmer New year in Cambodia. I also had the best time couchsurfing my way through California. Above all travelling has taught me to always be kind and keep an open mind.

My perfect day would be getting up early, having a good coffee, going on a hike or going to a museum, then chilling on the beach in the afternoon. I love cooking dinner and would be happy to show you my favourite dishes (I'm a vegetarian) and would be nice to finish off the day playing cards or getting a few beers. People would describe me as friendly, kind, smart and energetic.
Hobbies include yoga, hiking, running and cooking and I would love to improve my diving and surfing skills. I will be more than happy to cook and clean for hosts :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I grew up in England but have lived in Singapore for the past 2 years, which sparked the fire to explore more of the world. Travelling is not just about hitting the tourist spots but getting to know the locals way of life. I love meeting people and seeing their town through their eyes and that's why I love couchsurfing.
