I consider myself highly adaptable- I can talk to anyone about anything, and am equally at home in the city or country. When I was 18 I left California to go to college in rural Ohio, and now I travel back and forth between the two.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to participate in another culture through food. I love to eat and cook, especially Chinese, French, and Italian food. I'll also probably want to go to every art museum, and any good concerts that are going on in each new city that I visit. But the best part of CouchSurfing is that you get to see things that only locals would know about- and that's my favorite way to travel!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with Italian university students in Florence, who showed me around the city during the day and took me out at night to bars and to meet their friends!
I also stayed in Rome with another university student and his family, who were very kind and even took care of me when I got sick from eating a bad panino!

Interests

I'm interested in music (and listening to others' music, and seeing others' perspectives); I've studied and played music, such as piano and guitar, since I was a kid. I also love literature and art, from the ancient to the contemporary. But more than anything, I enjoy spending time with the people I travel with, seeing places as locals do (and hopefully eating as the locals do, too!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook Chinese food, or to make chocolate truffles (I used to work in a chocolate shop and it was the best job I ever had).
I can also teach you how to play something on guitar or piano.
I'd like to learn anything you have to offer!
