About Me

I'm kinda just learning new things and being. Hopefully with time, I will have a more clear vision of what I am up to.

I am a very chill person, very international as well- I don't have two friends from the same country (didn't plan on it). Currently in college studying Philosophy, Psychology and Literature...I like having a good time and I am also very culturally involved. I've got a very dark sense of humor, but of course, I strive to be as respectful as I can. Some people say I'm funny- I'm starting to believe it.

Also, it really sucks that I can't verify that I'm a real person with a real address because I don't have $25 in my bank account at the moment. But I promise you, I'm as real as they come.

"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind", Dr. Seuss said it, but I live it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am more often than not looking for a place rather than hosting- I used to travel a lot in the last two years. However, I'm really looking forward to hosting people starting in September when I have my own space and can provide a comfortable mattress for people to sleep in!

Over the last two years, I did a lot of couchsurfing with one of my friends through many European countries during our winter breaks. It has been a really fun experience and the people I've met through my trips have been fantastic and I cannot fathom any other way to have met them. I only recently opened an account so I could "pay it forward" in a sense, now that I have a more permanent home here for a few years, I feel like I can give back to the world.

Literature, writing, photography, cooking, watching movies and then breaking them down in casual conversation, walking, observing people in their "natural habitat"- studying people, and playing UNO, deliberating whether google maps is telling the truth or whether I'm just terrible at reading maps

Music, Movies, and Books

This is toughy...I'm a very big fan of all these things.
As far as books go, my ultimately favorite novel is The Picture of Dorian Gray. And with movies, I have seen many things which I have loved and/or hated. But my top 5 all-time favorite movies for the rainy days and for my soul to stay at ease are (in order of love and appreciation): The Fifth Element, Almost Famous, Ten Things I Hate About You, Big Fish, and Finding Nemo.
With the whole music scene, I vary a lot depending on my mood. But I am very much into indie rock, jazz and classical music. Some of my favorite bands are Flap!, Bright Eyes, and Trespassers William.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My life isn't really that interesting so far. But I was waiting at an airport in Milan to catch my flight back home and saw this man sleeping over his bag like a dome ceiling sheltering his belongings. He began to snore and drooled a little bit. Watching him kept me from falling asleep, it was terribly amusing.
And another thing that completely drove me speechless was a friendly date with a Croatian dude who took me to the middle of the woods (I'd only known him for a few days before that NIGHT) and then pulled out a lighter to start a fire that only lasted about 45 seconds. I was afraid I was going to die that night. We're still really good friends.
