About Me
Hi there, lovely Couchsurfing community! We're Kathe and Raúl, a couple who loves nature and enriching ourselves with new experiences. We believe that small actions can have a big impact on harmonizing our beautiful planet, Earth. We're both environmental science professionals and we're about to embark on a NEW ADVENTURE: living in AUSTRALIA to study, grow as professionals but most importantly, as human beings.
We love diving into the world of books and words. We enjoy reading and writing, which allows us to explore different perspectives and share our ideas. Additionally, we're passionate about biking, hiking, and staying active through exercise. One of our greatest passions is plants, especially bonsai trees, succulents, and cacti. We find a special connection with nature through them and a way to learn about patience and care.
We consider ourselves kind and friendly people, always willing to share a smile and an interesting conversation. We love watching sunsets, those magical moments that remind us of life's simple beauty.
Our Language Adventures
We're in the exciting process of learning English. We love practicing with the people we meet on our adventures, as we believe cultural exchange is one of the best ways to learn and grow.
Collectors of Memories
We love collecting fridge magnets from the different places we visit. Each one is a little reminder of our experiences and the wonderful people we've met along the way.
If you're looking for an enriching Couchsurfing experience filled with good conversations, quiet moments, and a touch of adventure, we'd love to meet you. We hope to share a bit of our lives with you and learn from yours!
See you soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We joined Couchsurfing because we love meeting people from all over the world and sharing real experiences. We're looking for more than just a place to stay – we want to connect with travelers, swap stories, and learn about different cultures. We think every encounter is a chance to make amazing memories and see the world in a new way. We're also stoked about hosting travelers who, like us, value connecting with people and learning from each other.

We enjoy listening to electronic, pop, instrumental, and Andean music.
We appreciate suspenseful films, psychological thrillers, and horror movies.
As for books, we prefer those with stories of overcoming challenges and that inspire us to question and reflect on life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting three countries in one day: Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina.
Flying over the Nazca Lines.
Having some beers in the Vidigal favela in Rio de Janeiro.
Living the legendary Rio de Janeiro Carnival, partying all night at the Sambódromo and the blocos.
Running through Tierra del Fuego National Park, reaching the end of Route 3, the "Fin del Mundo" (End of the World).
Backpacking across South America, from Quito, Ecuador, to Ushuaia, Argentina, at the "Fin del Mundo" (End of the World).
Teach, Learn, Share
We teach Spanish, Ecuadorian culture, the Andean worldview, and ways to live in harmony with nature.
We're always learning English and open to new experiences and people.
We love sharing our travel and life stories.
