We are two German girls, Lucie and Kathi, who are currently travelling New Zealand in our Campervan. We graduated school in June and decided to take a gap year following our "Fernweh" to beautiful NZ. We want to use our time here, to get to know ourselves, learn what freedom truly means and experience the spirit of a new and different country.
The last month we mostly stayed on Camping spaces and we met a lot of cool people. However most of them were German. Couchsurfing is a great opportunity for us to get to know real Kiwis and what NZ is really about, because that is what we came for.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I (Lucie) have been to the Lion King Musical in Hamburg. One of the most amazing experience in my life.
I (Kathi) have been a part of two exchange programs to Finland and the USA, which gave me the opportunity to meet great people and see amazing nature.

Teach, Learn, Share

We are always keen to meet new people, learn about other customs and habits and share our traditions/ stories. If you want we can teach you a bit German, give you a hand in the household or cook with you. We also know a lot about german History and we love to share our information and learn about (NZ) History.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We would love to cook with/ for you and do a bit of household and gardening work if needed. If you have any pets, we would love to take care of them and take them for instance for an outdoor adventure. As we are very open/ communicative we can offer interesting conversations/ discussions.
