I am in my 50's. I do not work, due to,a chronic illness. I live with my adult son and we have both a cat and a dog, both of which are service animals. We lead a pretty simple, laid-back life that includes a lot of online activity as we both have major health issues. We enjoy getting out and enjoying nature, and we both have a great fondness for all living creatures. We enjoy learning about cultures other than our own, and discovering new people and their world views.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My health makes travel difficult for me, so I rarely do so now. Couch surfing, for me, is a way to help others and to learn about the people in this wonderful world from my home, as I can host more easily than I can travel.

I have done many amazing things, but perhaps the most unusual has been that I spent many years doing wildlife rehabilitation.

I am pretty much an open book, and happy to share anything with anyone. I love learning more than teaching though, and would love to learn what others have to share from their life experiences!
