Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am making an attempt to escape the USA, because to put it kindly, the country is too small for me and the president. I cannot abide with our politics.

Interests

I have been fortunate to have traveled quite a bit throughout life. I have been to Europe several times, Turkey, Mexico 13 times and very many islands.
I'm going Australia beginning the 29th of August and then New Zealand, I'm not certain of the dates. I hope to find several friends to hangout with along the way. Or at least to put me up for a day or 3, or who knows? Since I'll be in Sydney for one month or so, I may need to find several people willing to take me in. I actually am a lot of fun. I don't complain. I will do chores or cook or treat you to a meal in exchange for letting me stay.
I live in the USA, I'm a nurse and I do home health care. While I won't be on a working visa, I would be interested in earning a few bucks here and there. The longer my money lasts, the longer I can run away from home.
I finally got verified on this site after about 10 years of lingering here. Even though I have been intreged by the concept of couch surfing, I haven't actually done it yet. Mostly I have simply opted for hostels.
Now if I come to your house, I will respect you and share kindness. Thank You so much for your consideration!

A Course in Miracles, other spiritual books. I like chick films like Beaches and When Harry met Sally etc. I like a lot of music but I'm not into rap. Not so much into country music either. Thank goodness country music is only popular in America...I think.
