About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience other cultures, dance my heart out, and to meet/mingle with locals in small interesting communities.
ABOUT ME
I was recently bit by a travel bug and need to get moving... I've been in WV too long. I'm always looking to be outside and keeping busy. One of my absolute favorite things to do is dance to live music or get a community event happening (like locals soccer or full moon skis). I love to share my hometown with others, cause honestly, I thinks its one of the best places around...
PHILOSOPHY
Amelia Earhart pretty much sums it up....
“Some of us have great runways already built for us. If you have one, take off. But if you don't have one, realize it is your responsibility to grab a shovel and build one for yourself and for those who will follow after you.”
“Experiment! Meet new people. That’s better than any college education... By adventuring; about, you become accustomed to the unexpected. The unexpected then becomes what it really is . . . the inevitable.”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
New to it all, but love the little bit I've done. No better way to get to know an area than see it through the eyes of a local.
Interests
All things adventure or outdoors... skiing, climbing, boating, hiking, caving, etc... Dancing may also be one of my biggest passions and I'm always keen to try new things as well!

Music, Movies, and Books
180 Degrees South, Into the Wild, Single Fin: Yellow, Warren Miller movies, adventure films of all kinds.
Wild, The Supreme Gift, The Thorn Birds, The Pilgramige, The Last Lecture, a few others here and there...
Bluegrass, Folk, Swing, Funk, Reggae, pretty much anything I can dance too...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent a week backpacking through Mexico and accidentally won a dance competition (in a grocery store). Moved to Australia for a year to become a jillaroo.
Teach, Learn, Share
Depending on the season, I could teach an array of outdoor skills, from boating to telemark skiing to Appalachian dances to horseback riding/jumping. I love sharing my knowledge with others, it's why I work in the Adventure Education field. Learning just by reading about something is 90% a waste of my time... I need human interaction, communication, and demonstration for anything to sink in.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The slightest of hopes that the US isn't completely worthless, there are some amazing places if you look close enough. Or, better yet, I can cook you a delicious meal!
