ABOUT ME

Born and raised in good ol' Utah.... for better or for worse. I go to school in California. I love life especially every moment that I get to spend outside!

I am currently studying abroad in Florence Italy, and loving EVERY minute of it!

In the biography of Ansel Adams, I read that he followed the ideas of R.W. Emerson, and I think it really fits how I feel about life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One thing that I always try to do, even if I can't host is give suggestions on where to go, what to see, or even try to meet up for coffee or lunch. Knowing the little nuances, that are off the beaten path, of the places you are traveling can really enhance the experience

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a member for a little bit now, but I am trying now to get into it more! The first time I hosted was really fun. The two people that my roommate and I hosted were very fun and genuine people, exactly what I expected from the couch surfing community.

Interests

Mountain and Road Biking... well more or less anything cycling related, hiking, skiing and snowboarding, really any outdoor activity.

Also architecture and art.

Music, Movies, and Books

Haha, where to begin with books... I LOVE to read, and I have this collecting complex where I can't throw any book away. Some of the favorites include The Great Gatsby, The Giver, As I Lay Dying,

Currently reading Ayn Rand the Fountainhead, when I find the time.

Music I am pretty much open to anything. I really like Bob Dylan, The Latch Key Kids, Cat Empire, Paul Simon, Dave Matthews, The English Beat and Chris Velan to name a few.

Don't watch a ton of TV or movies, but The Fall or Monty Python and the Holy Grail are my go to. I am in a Italian Cinema class, and Ladri di Biciclette is nothing short of Amazing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my most memorable experiences was seeing a pack of wolves running through the forest in Yellowstone while is was snowing... absolutely breathtaking!
