Curious and excitable. A little like a puppy. As a kid, I regularly read over 100 books during summer vacations. I love seeking answers and unraveling more questions. Hablo español. Aspiring guitar player - I'm enthralled by the shared consciousness of a good jazz band or folk jam. That fascination and a commitment to social and environmental sustainability sparked my interest in the sharing economy - crowdfunding, couchsurfing, thrift shopping. I like to adventure socially as much as naturally - backpacking, kayaking, rock climbing. Creating and experiencing beauty really peels my orange.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Profile revamp 2017: I guess I sort of covered this question in the last bit of About Me. But see below for the impetus to start couchsurfing. And a little background to why most references mention two people.

2015: Devin and I are celebrating our 10-year friendiversary with an ambitious project. It's called Full Circle.

We're taking a two-month journey from coast to coast to create art. And we've made a promise: No hotels, no judgments, no regrets. Couchsurfing is a fantastic avenue to meet people and find remarkable experiences. When we’ve finished the trip and kicked off our shoes, we will create a book that features portraits and stories of the characters and landscapes we encounter. Environmental science enthusiast. I have a background in environmental education and advocacy. I love maps and using ArcGIS and other GIS programs. I'm a hiker, backpacker, kayaker, canoer, camper, tree-climber, and all-around outdoorsy type.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I lived in a cooperative housing unit with 23 people for two years. I understand how many hands make light work as long as everyone pitches in! In exchange for your hospitality, I'm happy to clean up some clutter. I've worked as a landscape gardener and recreational vegetable grower, so I'm happy to chat about plants!
