Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

In 2015 I volunteered in Mae Sot, Thailand for one month. I had such great time there that I kept going back every few months. I thought I just loved traveling, and I started traveling solo. But as I travelled more, I realised that what I like about traveling is not the chance to go abroad and see stuff on the other side of the world, but the moments and connections I shared with the people I met on the road. Therefore I started using couchsurfing, hoping to meet like-minded travellers and share some incredible time together.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

📍Volunteered at the Thai-Myanmar border for one month in 2015. Worked with the burmese migrants and students there to construct and renovate classrooms for migrant schools. Had a really memorable time there and established strong ties with the people there. Till now im still keeping contact with some of them.

📍Did a 56-hour hard seat train trip all the way from Hong Kong to Tibet in 2016.

📍Did the camino de santiago (camino del norte and camino primitivo) alone in 2018 and met lots of great pilgrims on the way.
