I grew up on a dairy farm in rural southern Missouri. I always wanted to be a teacher and had a successful career teaching secondary English for 30 years. I am now retired from teaching. I work part time in media and public relations for an heirloom seed company while also owning and operating my farm. I am also in the process of developing a bed and breakfast on my farm.
I love country living but also like to travel. I stay very busy on my farm but like to hike, bike, snow ski, and almost any thing outdoors.
I am an avid gardener and grow most of my own food.
I have 2 grown sons and 2 adorable grandchildren.

Music, Movies, and Books

I particularly like classics in both movies and books. My favorite movies include Gone with the Wind and It's a Wonderful Life. My favorite books include Gone with the Wind and Little Women. I grew up listening to country and bluegrass music, and those are still my music of choice.
