Overview
About Me
Easy going and happy couple originally from England (in our profile pic we're the couple on the left with our friend Anna!). We have chosen to explore the planet welcoming a mixture of opportunities that present themselves to us. Volunteering, working or simply just being. We have done so much in the last few years such as living in South America, exploring jungles, relaxing in cenotes and sharing our lives with other like minded folk. There is still alot out there yet to be experienced and so we welcome you to be apart of the of our future and history.
Katie is an online English teacher and travel blogger, whilst Marc is a photographer. We're keen to share our stories and hear yours!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We love couchsurfing for two reasons 1) if gives us a true local insight into an area of which we would otherwise be outsiders, 2) Our friend lived for a number of years at the hub of Couchsurfing in SF and helped establish the whole system!
Other than that, we basically like to share stories over over a cup of tea or a beer, perfect.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ohh tough one!
Katie- fav music... Currently listening to Coco and the Butterfields alot. My go to tunes tend to be folk. I adore Regina spektor, Laura marling, electro - swing is great to dance to and you can't go wrong with some blues or old classics. Update: Having travelled South America for a long time I now tend to have alot of Spanish songs sifting through my Spotify.
Fav movie- I tend to forget movies quite quickly but the genre would be anime. I think actually either Howls Moving Castle or Origin: Spirits of the past (beautiful story about the connectivity of human life and the world around us).
Fav book- currently reading an account of a hitchiking journey I middle east. Usually I tend to go for fantasy books, I loved hitchhikers guide to the galaxy -the whale thinking about his existence is my fav section. My preferred author is Salman Rushdie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ran hula hoop trick workshops at Wilderness Festival in the uk. Everyone loves a hoop! Also, a bit more generic but amazing for me (I was scared of heights)... skydiving over Bay of 1000 Islands. Hungover. - Katie
Lived in a jungle, lived on an island and now not so keen on city life! I've photographed some beautiful places on the planet, many awesome people and moments learning of their stories. - Marc
