We (Katie and Matt) have taken a year off to go bikepacking. We were both itching for adventure and to pick up our spirits in life. We are both bike fanatics, and use our bikes to commute and for adventure back at home in Australia.

Our plan is to make it with our bikes across Europe and Asia. We plan to cycle around the South of France, Spain, and make our way to the Balkans and eventually Türkiye, Georgia, Mongolia.

We both love nature and the environment. We often are found hiking, biking whether mountain biking or bikepacking.

Matt loves bike advocacy, urban planning and all things urban mobility. Katie is passionate about social housing, psychology, and is an avid cook. We both enjoy discussions on politics, music, philosophy, to pop culture. Honestly we love to chat about anything - it is just really nice to get to know new people and learn their world views.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

To meet locals, which can be difficult when travelling. While this is our first time on couch surfing, we plan to host friends from around the world in a years time.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Katie loves neo-soul, jazz, hip-hop, rap, psytrance and techno. I read mainly non-fiction books on psychology, economics and politics. My favourite movies have to be Studio Ghibli films.

Matt loves punk rock, rock, jazz and psytrance. I am a classic Lord of the Rings nerd. I love reading books on maths and economics. I am a big maths nerd!
