My name is Katie and I'm from the United States. I studied printmaking and ceramics in college but am currently teaching art in an elementary school. My main interests include living a self-sustainable life and art. My husband's name is Pierre and he is from La Rochelle, France. He speaks English, French and some Chinese. He has lived in the United States, China and Hong Kong. When accepting guests into our home, we will both be present. After meeting in Paris and living in Versailles the past three years, we moved to the United States and built our own tiny home. We love traveling and hosting.

I am interested in couch surfing because I am very interested in learning the most I possibly can about the world and different cultures. I have met wonderful people in my life and I am sure there are still so many wonderful people to meet!

Ceramics, printmaking, teaching, animals and farming. Pierre and I make our own bread, yogurt, and enjoy growing our own herbs and vegetables. Being self-sustainable is fun to us and we are constantly trying to learn new things that we can do. We also LOVE to eat and drink!
