I actually have hosted countless times on Couchsurfing, but it was all through my spouse's account (Tim Loughrist). When he moved to Alabama to take a Philosophy teaching position, I started my own account in order to continue hosting folks at our home in Lincoln, Nebraska. I then moved to Florence, AL to join him. We spent 6 years there.

We now live in Minneapolis! Our dream city! I love meeting new people and showing getting to know this amazing city. I’m a musician, and I really like seeing live shows. I’m into camping and hiking. I also enjoy practicing my German and Spanish. I have my Masters in Education with an emphasis in Gender Studies, so all LGBTQ Folx are definitely welcome. Basically, we love to open up our home to travelers; it connects us with humanity.

I absolutely love to travel, but when I can’t, I let the world come to me. I’ve had amazing experiences with Couchsurfing, both hosting and traveling, and I want to give back to the community in any way I can!
