I am an Alaska resident, born in Homer in 1990. In December 2015 I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in ceramics at Northern Michigan University, where I am currently working as an intern until the end of April 2016. I am also volunteering with the Cru campus ministry staff for the same duration. During the past 4 summers, I have returned to Alaska to commercial fish, and plan to fish again this summer and possibly stay indefinitely. I desire to use my degree to either establish or join an arts center, where multiple art forms can be explored, and where the community can enter in and engage through creativity. God alone knows the plans ahead, but I trust He will fulfill His purpose in due time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Once I finish my internship come end of April, I am planning an epic roadtrip from Marquette, MI, to Homer, AK. It will be a great opportunity to see the awesome landscape and interact with people living along this lengthy stretch of road.
