About Me

We are two girls who have just finished secondary school and are travelling South East Asia. We plan to go to university in England next year to study science and psychology but in the mean time we are trying to have a hell of a year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel the best way to really get a feel for the country is to stay with people who actually live there, so we can look for the best experiences with a local and feel less like tourists. And it's a great way to make new friends.

Interests

First of all we love travelling and seeing new things and completely different perspectives on life compared to what we are used to in the UK.
We also love to learn and love reading.
We love group sports.
And eating good food of course.

Music, Movies, and Books

Cat Empire is a great band, other than that our music taste is pretty versatile, we will choose to listen to most things apart from maybe trance/house music.
All marvel films are good, plus any rom cons. I love The Lord of the Rings and we both love Harry potter (movies and books). We are both big Game of Thrones fans (not technically a movie but had to mention it).
Whilst Yolanda is more into real life books like Nicolas Sparks and Little women I prefer fantasy books. However we have both enjoyed Jodi Picoult books and The Book Thief.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have done lots of amazing things I hope but the most recent one had been volunteering in a Cambodian school for children to learn English run by the amazing Kamnat. The best part was living with his family and doing everyday things for them like cooking food and going fishing. He owned a tuk Tuk so gave us lifts all over the city to see all the sites and food the locals appreciated. In return we taught lessons for the children, the majority of whom were the most lovely people I have ever met.

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is about experiences and sharing them, learning from others through their writing or speaking to them. No one can know everything so just keep learning and improving over and over.

What I Can Share with Hosts

All my experiences as I hope they do with me too!
We will be more than willing to offer any help they need with buying food or cooking or help around the house, whatever is needed.
