Overview
About Me
I've spent the last 7 years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and recently had to move back home to recover from a roller derby injury (broken ankle/leg). I am now walking fine, but I have planned a 3 month trip across Europe before I return to the real world of working to pay rent and trying to find a career. Funds are severely limited and I am booked to arrive in Dublin 12/18 and leave 3/23. When I come back I plan to get an apartment in New Orleans that will definitely be open to surfers, but they'll have to be okay with a medium sized and very needy dog named Cthulhu. Also, in case you can't tell from the pictures (which is hard to believe) I identify as queer so you're going to have to be LGBT friendly. Also I'm going to go ahead and use this section to apologize for Donald Trump's representation of my country, I adamantly feel that he represents everything wrong with the United States.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As long as I have a couch and a space that is my own visitors are welcome. I'd like to experience new places more deeply than standard tourism allows and I'd love to open my home to those looking to do the same.

Music, Movies, and Books
I tend to like pop punk or emo music, but please don't hold that against me. I can listen to pretty much everything. I am also mildly obsessed with Tegan and Sara. Never developed a taste for country despite spending the better part of a decade in Louisiana. Some other bands I like just for the sake of specifics: Bowling for Soup, Blink-182, Panic! At the Disco, My Chemical Romance, All Time Low, Metro Station, Weezer, Paramore, The Blow, David Bowie, The Killers, The Internet, Ladyhawke, The Donnas.
I love movies, even the objectively bad/cheesey/terrible scifi or horror movies. Dark comedies are always a good choice, but if I have to list a few of my favorites here goes in no particular order... Momento, Pan's Labrynth, Labrynth (because how can you go wrong with David Bowie + Jim Henson), Mean Girls, DistrictB13 (and the sequel Ultimatum), Guardians of the Galaxy, I will watch pretty much any comic book movie, Beetlejuice (other Tim Burton classics), Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, About a Boy, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, anything with Ellen Page (or Kristen Wiig or Anna Kendrick), I could go on, but that seems like enough.
Anything by Chuck Palahnuik, Kurt Vonnegut, Douglas Adams or J.K. Rowling. I am a proud Hufflepuff. Specifics would take far too long to list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Graduate? I 've done a lot of LGBT community organizing stuff, but nothing world record breaking. Perhaps I'll be able to add to this section after my trip.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to cook and will gladly teach anyone willing to listen to me talk about food. Also if you happen to have a ukulele I'll be happy to show you the basics. I am learning French and am very interested in any amount of other languages I can soak up in my travels.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a pretty good cook and I love to try new things. Totally down to cook a meal or two in exchange for lodging. Also always there to be a drinking buddy or just stay up and talk until the sun comes up.
