Hi, born in tropical rain forest (Perú) grew up in chinese-international environment. Iquitos was the rubber boom city years ago, see Fitzcarrald film with Klaus Kinsky & Claudia Cardinale ? I enjoy travelling and discovering new cultures where I can talk their language and learn from their culture, allright.

Worked as cultural journalist for urbanist and architecture magazine Plaza Mayor. Headed to Germany to continue learning language with a stipendium , travelled to Sweden where I was delighted with the quality of light (Carl Larsson).

Back in Perú I dreamt and created my own refuge in Santa Eulalia to hear authentic birds singing, trying to decipher their oracle in the blowing wind.

Currently organizing Poetry Workshops for the National Library in Perú. Interested in natural healing, languages and behavioural science.

I believe in Jesus Christ, but I am not a fanatic. I like sciences and humanities.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

At the moment I must travel to different places to fulfill different research. Meeting new cultures and landscapes is enriching for the soul, hence for writing.

Couchsurfing can be a good source for meeting people outside your town.

Fitzcarrald from Werner Herzog. I admire Werner Herzog due to his excellent images and stories full of adventures. I like submarine films and series from Nat Geo where you see wild life as compensation from urban life.

There are too many books I would like to name; but one of them is Thinking like Leonardo da Vinci, I find it as an enlightening experience, even nowadays.. !

Algo increíble que he hecho

I always admire the fact that being born in the tropics of Perú, I was literally thrilled by the nordic light of scandinavian countries. The quality of light sets you in another state of mind, it elevates you. This wide range of perception helps me view things from different angles and create something new.

Also I admit being proud of having leaped from a provincial private school in Iquitos to the American School in Lima, an excellent school that showed and taught me another academic level, later encountered in foreign universities.

Travelling through France, I have met people who needed help in english language. I offered my help and they hosted me for a couple of nights.

Learning is fun when there is understanding among people. One can always learn their favorite dish and cook it at home and then share your favorite food also.

Sharing means for me connecting with people eager to learn from new experiences.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Above all, Respect and travel experiences. Like said above food one has learned at home or while travelling around and its anecdote.

One can also share job experiences if one sees similar affinities in the work field or healing abilities such as herbal tea recipes, massage or yoga.

The idea or principle is to make life better and more comfortable for others. Being considerate and thankful makes the rest.
