About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to see countries heal/form, grow and include ALL its people!

ABOUT ME

I am one of those strange people who prefers to meet people than conquer new places. I love catching up with old friends, making new ones and having random conversations with the old man at the train station. With all my travel I have collected some incredible friends around the globe and I always have room for more. I love old book stores, cafes with quirky art and street concerts. I love life and make the most of it. ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is to be lived so why not make the most with what you have. I don't have much that could be put into a portfolio but I have a great life full of incredible people. What more could you ask for.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this CS website but I have been waiting for something like this. Looking forward to surfing and hopefully getting a place that I can also host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed for 15 years and had great experiences. I have made some great friends, collected lots of great stories and laughed at jokes I didn't fully understand because they were in foreign languages but it didn't matter!

Interests

At the moment my life is full of libraries and a tired brain. I am finishing my masters so there are very few hobbies in there. However, I always make time for friends and a quiet drink or two. Well there is always time for live music and exhibitions. I just got back from a research trip to Uganda which was incredible. Next is France then after I graduate I am hoping to get to South America to visit some more friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - pretty much everything. Sadly like the pop culture crap like actions, comedies whilst enjoying a great documentary too. Pretty similar with music. I love live music anywhere and everywhere. Books - since I spend everyday reading theories about the world I don't tend to read for fun.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Going to an amazing school in rural Uganda where the joy overwhelmed me as kids with disabilities reminded me just how fun life can be.
- I spent a day with a herd of elephants in South Africa. The size and majesty is so cliche but it sticks with me.
- The Genocide Memorial in Kigali, Rwanda changed the course of my life. They walk you through the process that led to friends killing each other and demonstrated how we are all capable of doing the same and hopefully forgiving also. Powerful place!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have spent my life studying people. I just love them. What makes us tick, why and how we feel pain, what brings us together. I would love to know what others think, to learn about life from a different set of eyes and I can share mine too.
