ABOUT ME

We're two best friends from HMB, CA (a small town on the coast near San Francisco) just looking to meet some interesting people along our month and a half long trip across the US.

Hannah is currently pursuing a degree in global studies at UCSB. Hannah studied abroad in Argentina and Chile

Katie just graduated from University of Puget Sound with a major in anthropology and environmental policy. Katie studied abroad in Indonesia.

We've been best friends since first grade (even though Hannah thought Katie, the new kid in school, was lame because she STILL had a winnie the pooh backpack...) and love going on adventures together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hannah: Pretty neutral about all sorts of music, but I really enjoy 90s. Not a big movie person, but my favorite is The Sweetest Thing. Books... Dispatches From the Edge, by Anderson Cooper. BEST BOOK EVER.

Katie: Wilco, Blind Pilot, Band of Horses, Beyonce, M.Ward, and about a million other bands. I hate choosing favorite anythings, but I guess some of my favorite moves are Stand By Me, Silence of the Lambs, basically all of the Harry Potter movies and Jumanji. I'm kind of obsessed with reading, there are way too many favorite books to name.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being born. It was insane.

But really... zip lined across a rainforest in Costa Rica, a river in Argentina, and a forest in California. One time we went on a river rafting adventure and almost got decapitated by tree branches while being attacked with squirt guns.
