ABOUT ME

I am an easy going girl who loves to travel. It took me a long time to head off on my first adventure in 2010 but I havnt looked back since!
My journey has been an awesome one and I have been so lucky with the experiences I have had and the people I have met. I have learnt a lot about the way that people and the world work and have learnt incredible amounts about myself. I can't ever imagine a day when I will be ready to stop travelling.
Anyone can travel but not everyone has the courage to do so, I say 'f*ck it' to the shoulds in life and do what will make you happy.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy has changed a lot since I have travelled. My eyes have been opened to all the possibilities in the world and I realise that sometimes Western society makes us feel as though there is only one path to take in life.
My philosophy is to find as many paths as I can and have fun while doing so!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have done a lots of couchsurfing, mostly before I signed up to this website through friends! I love to meet other travellers and hear about their journeys. I had the best time hosting lots of people while I was living in Banff and can't wait to start hosting again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have officially surfed once and unofficially tons of times! I have hosted a few times in Banff, Canada...it's been great fun and have met a bunch of awesome people

Interests

Hula Hooping! I am a keen hula hooper and love to pass on the addiction...I even make hula hoops so if you love it maybe you can have your own! I love to spread the hoop love.
I love to cook and bake, I enjoy reading and watching movies. I enjoy hikes, camping, kayaking and being by the sea. I love bright blue skies and sunshine and it just makes me want to be outside. But I also love the rain and think walking in the rain is so underrated!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a wide range of taste in music and movies. Will listen to nearly anything and watch nearly anything but horror.
Not even slightly ashamed to say I am a huge Disney fan.
Books...I mainly read fantasy and my favourite authors are Terry Goodkind and Patrick Rothfuss. They are incredible writers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is too much to mention but I did live in a rainforest, next to a glacier, a 20 minute drive to the beach!
I skydived over the southern alps, jumped into a canyon in Queenstown, hiked a glacier, quad biked through the rainforest, rode a horse through fields of lupin and flowing rivers, kayaked on beautiful lakes and the abel tasman.
I partied in a castle made of ice on a frozen lake, I snowmobiled to a house boat and listened to a practising choir.
I ate with the locals in Vietnam, rode on a scooter through the busy streets of Hanoi.
I made some amazing friends.
The list goes on and on and I appreciate everything I have had the chance to do, how could I pick just one?!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach anyone to hula hoop, its a fun and active skill to pass on. I consider myself a pretty good cook so can help anyone out with that if your not so good!
I would love to learn another language and love to get new recipes from people. Any new skill is a good one.

Myself! I talk to much and will probably tell you my entire life story in one night. But I am also interested in you! I love to hear other peoples stories.
