ABOUT ME

Katie is an outgoing person. She likes people and things. She loves good conversations, coffee, and food. She bakes a lot and cooks a little.

Marty is passionate about music, politics, and people and enjoys a good argument or just fun conversation. He's a skeptic, but looks forward to future adventurings. He's generous and would do anything for those he cares about.

We are both crafty and like adventures. We are also both vegetarian and like vegetarian type things. :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have hosted quite a few people who turned out to be very interesting and quite wonderful. :)

Katie backpacked around Western Europe several years ago and had some truly amazing experiences and hosts. Some of her very best friends were met through CS or because of it.

Together, we surfed in Tulsa, OK in the US and Marseille, Toulouse, Leon, and Paris in France, and in Tanger, Morocco. All with wonderful hosts. We also spent time with couch surfers in Agonda Beach in Goa, India. We have hosted in the US as well as our flat in Berlin.

We are very grateful to all of these people for sharing a bit of their lives with us and for the chance to share ours with them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our favorite experiences have been when our host was able to show us around their city or just go out for a drink. Since Katie has traveled alone, it meant a lot to have some good company, interesting conversation, and some insight into the city they currently reside in.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Katie went skydiving, went skinny dipping in a canal in Ireland at 3am with a crazy German chick, a Dubliner, and a bottle of vodka, and got tattoos in 5 different countries and piercings in 3.

Together we saw a mountain covered in cultivated tea in India and the Calanques near Marseille.

We recently spent time in the Sahara Desert and saw more stars than either of us had ever seen in our lives. We also saw the Milky Way. It was amazing.

Katie can teach you how to make puff pastry from scratch. Also, crafty things.

Marty is great at cooking curries and playing instruments.

We are both getting pretty good at vegan cooking.
