ABOUT ME

I grew up in Ireland with a Dutch mother and Australian father, at about the age of seven I decided I would leave Ireland the first chance I got! So about 11 years later when I finished high school I moved to Australia and started uni in Brisbane. I only lasted one semester before dropping out and making plans to 'travel the world'! I went on a year long round the world trip with my sister (a fellow uni drop out)and now I'm hooked! I just want to travel and see as much as I can while I'm still young and carefree and the future will hopefully sort itself out!

PHILOSOPHY

The world is in fact full of wonderful, generous people and if you put yourself in the position to receive their kindness you will, and hopefully you will pass it on.

I don't believe in karma but I think everyone should pretend to.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Me and my sister hosted surfers when we lived in Canada and loved every single person who stayed with us! We also surfed in Canada, America, Scotland and China. I haven't hosted or surfed all by myself yet!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had fantastic experiences both hosting and surfing and have met so many wonderful, open, friendly people through CS.

Intereses

I LOVE TRAVELING! Obviously...I really like the outdoors, over the last year or so I've gotten really into hiking. There is nothing like the top of a mountain, the view and knowing that there's no more uphill! I absolutely love the water, swimming snorkeling scuba diving and sailing or just playing in waterfalls or waves. I love art that is beautiful or interactive or just makes you think. I love people, and the things they make and the way they behave and how all of that can change from place to place.

Hitchhiked down the 101 in the U.S. and pretty much through Death Valley in California in June!
Did a 100km hike in Hong Kong with almost as much elevation as Everest!

Well I can teach you how to sew or to make some cocktails . . . I guess I haven't gathered a lot of skills in my lifetime but I've got plenty of stories!

I want to learn languages (esp Spanish) and I want to learn about wonderful places I haven't been to that I must go to!
