Hello my name is Kathryn and I am from the flatlands of Monroe, Michigan, United States. I am a passionate traveler who desires to know people and tell their stories.

I have a passion to explore the world around me, especially Poland. I worked as an au-pair and have volunteered at various English language camps there. In 2016, I decided to move to Poland long-term and open my own English teaching and media production company, Tattered Suitcase. I also teach English to private students and at a school for Japanese students. Life’s an adventure, and I’m always learning something new!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At my university, I conducted an independent study on parenting styles between the US and Poland. The study eventually led to having me earn the Social Science Student of the Year award. I’ve also earned several journalism awards, such as Student Journalist of the Year for 2014.
